Visiting Nurse Home Care recently raised $63,000 at its signature fundraising event “There’s No Place Like Home,” which attracted hundreds of guests at the Crowne Plaza Providence-Warwick.
The fundraiser featured John Gregory, president and CEO of the Northern Rhode Island Chamber of Commerce, as the master of ceremonies, along with live and silent auctions, music and dancing to support the organization’s health care services.
“Funds raised at ‘There’s No Place Like Home’ allow Visiting Nurse Home Care to continue to be the leader in the home health care industry now and well into the future,” said Donna Gouveia, president and CEO of Visiting Nurse Home Care.
Visiting Nurse Home Care is an independent, nonprofit, community-based home-health provider that matches nurses, therapists, medical social workers, and home-care aides to more than 3,400 patients and families in the community.
Proceeds from the event will fund the organization’s tele-health program, community clinics and education and charitable care program. •
