McNally family named 2017-2018 Local Ambassador Family by March of Dimes

PROVIDENCE – Celebrating its 10th year of participation in March of Dimes’ March for Babies Rhode Island, a fundraiser for research and programs to aid mothers in having healthy, full-term pregnancies, the McNally family of Cranston was named the 2017-2018 March of Dimes Ambassador Family for Rhode Island and southeastern Massachusetts.

As newborns, all three of the McNally children spent time in the neonatal intensive care unit of Women & Infants Hospital of Rhode Island – times when the family received support from the March of Dimes NICU Family Support Program. Over the past 11 years, they have returned the favor by helping raise more than $11,000 for the organization.

According to the March of Dimes, 10 percent of all infants born in the U.S. are premature – 900 of which are born in Rhode Island. For more information on how to participate in March for Babies, visit marchforbabies.org.
