Head to Smith’s Castle Saturday for an exhibit on the pirates of the Red Sea trade. These particular pirates were common in New England from 1690 to 1720. Visitors will have a chance to see a variety of weapons, flags, coins and examples of the treasures pirates were usually after. “Pirates! Against All Flags” is a collection of original and reproduced artifacts that belong to Neal Kirk, the founder and commander of Free Men of the Sea, a living-history pirate reenactment group.
