Beginning July 11th, the Brown/Trinity Playwrights Rep will premiere three outstanding new plays from around the country: Principal Principle by Chicago-based playwright Joe Zarrow, Reunion by Greg Moss of Newburyport, Massachusetts, and Timeshare by L.A. native Rachel Caris Love. A celebration of the diversity and strength of new theatrical voices, The Playwrights Rep has been instrumental in bringing the work of America’s finest emerging playwrights to life every summer since 2005.

Each of the new plays will run in repertory for a week in Brown University’s Leeds Theatre (77 Waterman Street, Providence, RI 02912), with Principal Principle opening on July 11th, Reunion on the 18th, and Timeshare on the 25th. August 1st kicks off Festival Week, which features all three plays in repertory. The season closes on August 4st with the Marathon Madness, which provides audiences the unique opportunity to see all three professional productions in a single day.

Founded in 2005, the Playwrights Rep was established to meet the need of emerging playwrights to develop new work in a relaxed and creative atmosphere. Working with a carefully assembled company of gifted professional actors and directors, playwrights are deeply engaged in the production process — attending rehearsals daily and shaping and refining their texts as each new play is born. The result is some of the most imaginative and adventurous theatre to be seen anywhere in America!

Tickets for The Playwrights Rep are $12 for adults, $10 for staff and seniors, and $5 for students. Group rates, season tickets, and Marathon passes are available.
