Hearthside’s ongoing photography exhibit, “Color and Light: Early 20th Century Portraits of Hearthside,” will continue this weekend at the historic home. The exhibit features 50 photographs taken on the property between 1907 and 1912 using a photographic process known as hand-colored photography. The works, in pristine condition after more than 100 years, were recently discovered and are displayed in the same locations in which they were taken. Self-guided tours through the house are available. An additional exhibit on Talbot looms is also ongoing in the property’s attic.
