Contents of Jostens Attleboro, MA facility to be Sold at Public Auction May 20, 2008
On May 20th, the contents of one of the areas finest facility dedicated to the manufacturing and distribution of world renown class rings, recognition products and jewelry items will be sold at Public Auction by Salvadore Auctions & Appraisals, Inc. of Warwick, RI. Jostens has relocated the manufacturing to other operating facilities and the substantial inventory of surplus equipment will be sold to the highest bidder. Equipment lines include High Energy Finishing Equipment, Powder Coating Lines, Lost Wax Casting Equipment, Full Machine Shop, Dust Collectors, Ultrasonic Cleaners, Logic Controlled Inventory Carousels, Compressors, a huge inventory of Jewelers Bench Equipment and Tools, Material Handling Equipment, the entire contents of the facility will be sold. Included will be specialized stone setting equipment, scales and modern office furniture as well.
“This is one of the premier manufacturing facilities around and has modern up to date equipment” reports Michael A. Salvadore Jr., of Salvadore Auctions & Appraisals, Inc. Salvadore, a jewelry industry veteran who sits on the Board of Directors of the Manufacturing Jewelers and Suppliers of America the international trade association for the jewelry manufacturing industry, has electronically advertised this auction to Asia, Europe, South America and the USA. “We will be selling certain asset segments both live on site and live online to a global audience as certain assets are specialized and in demand” says Salvadore. “In addition, conventional machine shop machinery, bench items, a full commercial kitchen, cafeteria equipment, pumps, ovens over 800 lots to be auctioned off …..and who knows what we will find that will be sold to the highest bidder” says Salvadore.
Salvadore notes that Jostens is not going out of business but that this sale is the result of consolidation of manufacturing facilities.
