First performed in the Soviet Union in 1945, and revived to great acclaim by Britain’s National Theatre in 1993, An Inspector Calls is “a potent play for today” – The London Mail.
Synopsis: In 1912, the wealthy Birling family is visited by Inspector Goole, who questions them about the suicide of a young, working-class woman. Under interrogation, each member of the family is found complicit in the young woman’s exploitation and abandonment, effectively causing her demise. An Inspector Calls won the 1994 Tony Award for Best Revival of a Play.

ABOUT THE BRISTOL STATEHOUSE
The Bristol Statehouse was constructed in 1816 as one of 5 meeting places for the Rhode Island Senate and House of Representatives. The Bristol Statehouse Foundation has completed major renovations to the historic building, making it a fully accessible venue.
