SMITHFIELD, R.I. (Oct. 10, 2012) – Bryant University’s MBA program, which recently added specializations in global supply chain management, global finance, and international business, has again been named among the best in the country according to the 2013 edition of “The Best 296 Business Schools,” the annual guidebook released by the Princeton Review.

“We consider Bryant University one of the best institutions a student could attend to earn an MBA,” said Robert Franek, Princeton Review senior vice president-publisher. The schools profiled in the book – 280 of them in the United States, 16 of them international – were selected “based on our high regard for their academic programs and our reviews of institutional data we collect from the schools,” Franek said.

The rankings also are based on student responses to the Princeton Review’s 80-question survey for the book. Bryant MBA students consider the faculty very accessible and praised the faculty for their ability to bring real-world experiences into the coursework. Also highly praised was the MBA program’s distinctive cohort approach. In it, students move through the program as a cohesive group, completing all core courses as part of a single team before becoming separated in electives. Each student is also assigned to a study team for the length of the program. Students said this approach “promotes ‘a lower dropout rate, better student interaction, and deeper relationships and networks with students,’” the guidebook stated.

“The Princeton Review’s inclusion of our MBA program confirms what our graduates tell us: Our unique approach to MBA education generates a depth of understanding and support that resonates with working professionals,” said Sam Beldona, associate dean of the Graduate School of Business. “By integrating the most current business management theory with best business practices, our graduates are able to lead people and effectively manage resources in a complex global marketplace.”
