The Capital Youth Soccer Association of Providence, Rhode Island officially joined the Active Youth Network’s (AYN) online advertising network of youth sports websites. Club President, Simon Kue said the Active Youth Network offers an online website that will be an easy to navigate hub of information and communications for teams and members. When it’s established, the AYN network will provide an ongoing revenue stream to help pay for operating expenses and scholarships.
AYN’s mission is to create a national online network of youth sports websites that will deliver a prime audience to major brand, family-friendly advertisers. AYN gives 70% of advertising sales back to the member clubs and schools.
When he conceived the business model for the Active Youth Network, CEO Nick Cavarra had 15 years experience coaching youth soccer and 20 years of online media and TV sales experience. He saw first hand how the rising costs of participation was squeezing families, especially highly competitive teams that travel.
“Too often, talented players would reach a more competitive level and have to drop out because of the increased costs of travel and fees.
