Child & Family’s Ophelia Programs will host a Holiday Season Ophelia Sessionat the Castle Hill Inn for girls and young women, ages 11-18, on Sunday, December 4th from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Attendees will enjoy dinner, and spirited conversation with Miquette Bishop about her mission to spread kindness through her creations. About Miquette Bishop
Miquette Bishop is the artist, founder and creative spirit behind OM by miquette. She boasts a background rich in artistic endeavors and creative experiences… Being creative is, quite simply, in her genes. Miquette was born into a family driven by free spirited imagination and a sense of unlimited possibility. Her parents have been her greatest inspiration, both in art and in life. Born in Scottsdale, Arizona, Miquette spent much of her happy childhood living in France. She has also lived in Boston and Australia, but calls Rhode Island her home.
College years in Boston, Miquette studied graphic design, commercial art and photography then followed her other great passion; embarking on a career in early childhood education before returning to her creative roots. She has tried her hand as a jewelry designer, photographer, teacher and retail buyer. Adept in numerous artistic fields, sculpture is by far her favorite. OMs were born out of Miquette’s constant search for new and exciting challenges, and her desire to connect with people around the world. Miquette’s ambitions are as limitless as her imagination. The OM community continues to grow, and new connections are being made everyday. Slowly but surely, OMs have made the journey from Miquette’s Saunderstown studio to every corner of the globe!

The Child & Family Ophelia Programs are an innovative and inspiring series of community forums for girls and young women. The program welcomes and engages girls and young women between the ages of 11 and 18 from diverse backgrounds in a safe and inviting environment to explore the social, psychological and cultural issues which have a lifelong impact on their development.
