The Slades Ferry veteran joins the bank as a mortgage originator
FALL RIVER, Mass., December 11, 2008 – John Clifford, President & CEO of Bank of Fall River, has announced that Maria C. (Connie) Barbosa has joined the bank as a Mortgage Originator.
She brings thirty three (33) years of banking experience to this position at Bank of Fall River. Ms. Barbosa was formerly with Slades Ferry Bank, where she began her career in 1975 as a bookkeeper. Over the years, she was promoted to Branch Manager, Lending Officer and eventually Vice President, Residential Mortgages.
She completed a number of banking courses at institutions that include New England School of Banking, Bristol Community College, and Babson College.
She is a member of Southern New England Credit Grantors Inc.; an affiliate member of the Fall River Association of Realtors; an affiliate member ofthe Greater New Bedford Board of Realtors; and is active in the Citizen Scholarship annual fundraiser.
Connie Barbosa resides in Somerset with her husband, John.
