Providence, RI March 2009 – The Rhode Island chapter of the Executive Women’s Golf Association (EWGA) will be hosting their annual kickoff event on March 27, 2009 at the Providence Marriott, One Orms Street. Marking the start of the chapter’s golf season, the event welcomes guests and members with a networking reception, a buffet dinner and formal program.
At this year’s kickoff event, you will have the opportunity to become a member, sign up for a golf league or lesson, win fantastic raffle prizes and more. The event runs from 6:00 p.m. through 9:00 p.m. and costs $35 for members and $40 for non-members in advance. Advanced reservations are suggested. This year’s key note speaker will be Cathy Burgess, a Certified Financial Planner at Dreyfus Investments. “In my career I found golf to be a critical component of my success, and a wonderful tool for building lasting professional relationships” said Cathy. An avid golfer since age 8, Cathy has won several regional championships and tournaments and has competed in the Mass Amateur Championship the past two years.
