An impressive work of modern architecture and the first of it’s kind, OPTX Rhode Island is opening it’s flagship store/gallery in Johnston, Rhode Island, April 2011.

After many years of planning, Giulio Diamante, M.D., and Lynne Diamante, Esq. have positioned OPTX to combine the highest level of ophthalmic care with a welcoming gallery where patients and shoppers can choose from an extraordinary selection of eyeglasses and sunglasses – a perfect fit for every individual.

“Our eyewear and sunglass selection is the largest in the northeast” states Lynne Diamante, CEO of OPTX. “We offer classic styles as well as a full range of frames from legendary fashion designers.” This luxurious collection includes Cartier, Tom Ford, Tiffany, Tag Heuer, Porsche Design, Gold and Wood and Alain Mikli. Opticians Robert Folgo and Ted Nelson are curators of the OPTX gallery. In addition to their vast experience, Robert and Ted are known for providing exceptional, personalized client service.

OPTX engaged internationally renowned architect, Craig Nealy, to design an optical gallery that is unlike any other in the world. Craig Nealy’s masterwork in the 2,000 square foot gallery features rich walnut paneling accented with brightly lit display niches containing glass shelves. The niches’ shapes are reminiscent of 20th century minimalist sculpture, as are the chrome volumes with multi-hued back lighting. A curved wall sports a vibrant surface mixing gold and silver surfaces. Individual, backlit glass shelves project gracefully from the surface. Glamorous beveled mirrors in nickel frames provide ample try-on viewing, and glass vitrines throughout the gallery highlight eyewear and accessories. In the heart of the space, comfortable, oversized armchair seating is available for patients and shoppers alike.

Patients who arrive to OPTX Rhode Island pass through the optical gallery en route to Dr. Diamante’s clinic, which is immediately adjacent. Dr. Diamante continues his first rate medical practice in larger, more spacious surroundings, providing a measure of extra comfort to all his patients. In this setting, the doctor and his medical staff continue to provide precise examinations and treatments with state-of-the-art technology. From routine eye exams to advanced surgical procedures, the OPTX facility is designed to lead eyecare into the future.

OPTX has designated Hasbro Children’s Hospital as their partnered charity. OPTX will work with the hospital to assist them with their goals.
