Lamoureux will kick off a monthly radio segment called “Risky Business: The Law of Social Media” on 790AM WPRV’s Positive Business on Friday, July 20 at 4:30 p.m. Each show will include issues related to how a business should handle social media and its use by employees, the legal ramifications of social media use in the workplace and provide a snapshot of court decisions affecting this emerging area of law. Friday’s segment topic will open a discussion with listeners on why it is important for every business to have a written social media policy as part of a personnel handbook regardless of size; what a social media policy should include and the steps to creating a policy.
