PROVIDENCE – Local businesses and other organizations that have demonstrated a commitment to employee wellness were honored this morning at the state’s 13th Annual Worksite Health Awards Breakfast.
The event, at the Crowne Plaza at the Crossings in Warwick, was sponsored by the Greater Providence Chamber of Commerce and Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island. It featured a presentation by guest speaker Gary Marino, an obesity-awareness activist and founder of Generation Excel.

Healthy Company awards are presented at four levels, exemplary, superior, outstanding and achievement, to businesses that provide their workers with onsite wellness programs and health-related educational materials.
