Systems Engineering Assoc. wins $5.8M Navy contract

MIDDLETOWN – Systems Engineering Associates Corp. (SEA CORP) has won a $5.4 million contract to help replace traditional periscopes on Navy submarines with electro-optical technology.

The contract calls for SEA CORP to provide support for Photonics Imaging Systems programs at the Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) Division Newport. The work will include program management, administrative support, engineering analysis, problem reporting and correction and integrated logistics support for systems using electro-optic technology that will replace the traditional optical periscopes.

“We are very glad to be part of the Navy’s introduction of this new technology into the fleet,” said David Partridge, the contractor’s business area manager for imaging systems.

“This is a new dimension to … the support we have provided to the Navy in this area for many years.”

Systems Engineering Associates Corp. (SEA CORP) is a veteran-owned business, founded in Newport in 1981, providing systems and engineering services to the Navy and other customers.
