Dexter Credit Union, in partnership with the Central Falls High School Business Department, recently participated in an education program for the 2007-2008 academic school year focused on student financial management, including career selection, budgeting for housing, transportation, luxuries and more. The program, called CU4 Reality Financial Education Program, was developed by the Financial Literacy Education Committee (FLEC) of America’s Credit Union Museum in conjunction with the New Hampshire Credit Union League.

As part of this program, Dexter Credit Union representatives have made presentations to the Central Falls High School students on careers, banking basics, electronic banking, as well as budgeting, savings, investments and loans. In addition, the credit union coordinated a field trip to America’s Credit Union Museum in New Hampshire, for the Central Falls High School students.

Dexter Credit Union currently operates two full-service offices located in Central Falls and North Scituate and serves over 12,000 members.
