Providence River dredging clearing the way for ships

Since the completion of a three-year dredging project along the inner harbor of the Providence River in 2005 – mostly in the area north of Fields Point and south of the Fox Point Hurricane Barrier – industrial traffic has increased to the businesses along Allens Avenue, according to industry and state observers.
