Patrick Quinn joined Tofias PC three years ago, and has played a key role in the growth of the firm’s Rhode Island branch, which has more than doubled its revenue and size since his arrival.

Quinn began his tenure at Tofias as an audit manager, with the goal of building the firm’s nonprofit accounting practice. Within nine months, Quinn’s success saw him promoted to audit principal. This past spring, Quinn received another promotion when he was named auditor-in-charge of Tofias’ Accounting and Auditing Group in Newport, where the firm has a growing presence.

While at Tofias, Quinn also has served as a core member of the firm’s audit-efficiency group, and he has been instrumental in developing and teaching a curriculum that helps all Tofias professionals learn and maintain accounting best practices. He also writes for Tofias’ nonprofit newsletter and serves as a guest speaker on accounting and auditing topics.

Prior to joining Tofias, Quinn served for three years as the finance director for Providence’s St. Francis Chapel & City Ministry Center. During his time with St. Francis, Quinn led a successful capital campaign, established an endowment for the ministry center, and purchased the building that now houses the Poverello Center. He currently serves as treasurer on the St. Francis Board of Directors.

A graduate of Providence College, Quinn is also a member of the Not-for-Profit Committee of the Rhode Island Society of Certified Public Accountants, a religious instructor at his church, and a Habitat for Humanity volunteer. •
