WEST KINGSTON – APC by Schneider Electric has named company veteran Robert McKernan its new senior vice president and president, North America, promoting him from his previous position as APC’s vice president, North American Channels.
McKernan has worked for more than 15 years in sales and marketing. In his new role, he will oversee and manage APC’s relationship with customers and partners across the continent.
“Rob has done a tremendous job driving profitable growth, expanding APC’s market share and improving the effectiveness and efficiency of the North America region,” Laurent Vernerey, APC’s president and CEO, said in a statement. “In this new role, we will look to Rob to execute a distinct strategy in North America, while fully leveraging our opportunity as part of Schneider Electric.”
McKernan first worked at APC from 1994 to 2002, then worked for four years as vice president of sales for Philips Business Solutions. Since rejoining APC in July 2006, McKernan has been responsible for strategy, sales, and marketing to the company’s 10,000 partners. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania.
