MIDDLETOWN – KVH Industries has hired Brett Bruun, an expert on global communications technology, to be its new vice president for business development in preparation for the global rollout of the company’s mini-VSAT Broadband satellite communications service.

Bruun had already been working with KVH in his former position, as senior vice president of strategic initiatives for SES AMERICOM. He has also worked at KPMG and General Electric in general management, finance, accounting, operations, sales, and business development.

KVH is planning to expand its service coverage for leisure, commercial and government vessels into new regions. The company said it hired Bruun for his experience in managing global mobile satellite networks. •
