PROVIDENCE – The local firm Ananke IT Solutions will be part of an elite group of Microsoft Corp.’s partners traveling to the software giant’s Washington headquarters for meetings with company executives this fall.

In a news release, the IT services firm announced that it was one of just 250 Microsoft partners – out of 100,000 in the Americas – to attend the Microsoft Executive Partner Summit Americas 2008.

“This exclusive, invitation-only event brings together 250 CxO-level officers of Microsoft’s most influential partners in the Americas,” Ananke said in a news release.

John Conway, Ananke’s president and CEO, said in a statement: “I am honored to be among the few selected. This recognizes the efforts we make to differentiate ourselves from other IT services companies and reflects the level of commitment we have to our clients, the quality of our work, and the strength of our relationship with Microsoft.”

Conway will represent Ananke at the conference. Attendees were chosen after being nominated by Microsoft District Partner Account Managers.

Ananke also recently became one of Microsoft’s Gold-Certified Desktop Deployment Planning Services (DDPS) partners.

A spokeswoman for Microsoft said she could notconfirm whether any other Rhode Island companies were invited to the event “due to privacy concerns.”
