WARWICK – State and local officials this afternoon will join in welcoming Opinion Factor Inc., a Utah-based survey and telephone calling firm, as the company opens its first facility in the Ocean State.
“We are extremely pleased to make Rhode Island the site of our company’s second Call Center facility,” CEO Richard Kuchinsky said in a statement today. “By bringing over 350 jobs to the Ocean State, we feel that we can make a strong impact on the state’s economy.”
The company describes its new Warwick call center as “a 128-seat data-collection facility equipped with the latest VOXCO survey platforms and PRONTO predictive dialers, which are fully integrated with Opinion Factor’s fiber-optic telephony server.”
Kuchinsky cited “the high quality and dedication we have found in the Rhode Island work force” as “an extremely important driving force” his company’s decision to place its second call center in Warwick.
Besides its headquarters in Murray, Utah – the site of Opinion Factor’s other call center – the company also “has a presence in” California and Colorado, the CEO said. “We have a work force of over 500 dedicated people nationwide, and conduct marketing research surveys and political polling in over 92 countries and in 26 languages and dialects,” he added.
Warwick Mayor Scott Avedisian and representatives of the R.I. Economic Development Corporation (EDC) are among those slated to attend the 3 p.m. ribbon-cutting at the company’s new call center and administrative offices at 80 Commerce Drive.
The mayor also planned to tour the facility today, meeting with executives and employees, as part of his ongoing One-on-One business outreach program. The year-old program already has taken the mayor and representatives of the city’s Department of Tourism, Culture and Development to more than a dozen enterprises, including Gregg’s Restaurants, the Clouds Hill Victorian Farm and Museum, Eaton Aerospace Manufacturing, United Printing, Canine Clips and Davol Inc.
“I always enjoy meeting with members of our business community,” Avedisian said in a statement in advance of the call-center opening. “But in such worrisome economic times, I am particularly pleased to be able to visit companies that are not only thriving, but are bringing jobs to the area.”
