MIDDLETOWN – Three Aquidneck Island companies will team up to provide information-technology support to the Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) Division Newport under a contract worth up to $35 million, lead contractor Rite-Solutions Inc. said today.
“Working together in a competitive environment is a strategic decision that has helped us prosper in a tough environment,” Joe Marino, president of Rite-Solutions, said in a statement today. Joining his company in the deal are local subcontractors Science Applications International Corp. (SAIC) and Systems Resource Management Inc. (SRM).
Together, they will provide NUWC with a comprehensive suite of IT services, “from help-desk support to the development of technology-refresh strategies for legacy systems utilizing new emerging technologies, Web development, computer operations for classified and unclassified infrastructures and technology services to improve the training initiatives in the laboratory,” the lead contractor said.
The three firms have teamed up before to bid on government contracts. They have found their “combination of competencies” and ability to share the workload constitute “a strong value proposition for customers,” Rite-Solutions added.
“Collaboration between quality companies is the key to winning competitive procurements,” Marino said. “Trust and mutual respect are the currencies of our relationships.”
