NEWPORT – RI Nexus will continue its college tour today at Salve Regina University, as the organization works to connect students with the state’s information technology and digital-media sector.

Jack Templin, the Providence Geeks founder who also oversees RI Nexus, will speak at Salve’s O’Hare Academic Center, 100 Ochre Point Ave., in Newport, at 11:30 a.m. today. He will give a presentation and then take questions from the students.

The event is free and open to the public.

Templin has said he designed the college tour to give local students a better understanding of what opportunities and resources are available to them in the state.

Since September, Templin has visited Johnson & Wales University, the University of Rhode Island and NEIT, and more schools could be added in future months.
